Hello and thank you for looking at my website.

You may be considering counselling for many reasons, whether this is related to your past, something that is impacting on your life at the moment or holding back your plans for the future.

I offer a confidential safe place for you to explore the issues that are of concern to you, helping you to change your life in the way you choose.

Covid-19 Update

As a result of Covid-19, all sessions are taking place online via Zoom.

About Me

Some years ago I was standing in my Kitchen on a dark winters morning making tea. I looked out of the window and it was completely dark as I listened to the wind howling outside. In the darkness all I could see was one solitary light from a window in the distance and nothing else. I thought ‘That’s what I want to be – a light in someone else’ darkness’. It was this thought that led me to train and qualify as a counselor.

When you think about it, a light provides comfort in a dark place and also guides us when we are lost or cannot see our way forward. Light is also a symbol of hope and gives us something to aim for when we are in darkness.

In my client work I have been able to achieve that and I have seen people change and to become the people that they want to be. I really believe that change is possible in your life if you want it. I also believe in an individuals right to choose their own path.

If you are lost, afraid, troubled or in darkness then perhaps we should be talking to each other?

Why should you choose me?

I am approachable, friendly and non-judgemental – who you are is OK with me. I am calm, empathic, creative and I am very down to earth and put things across in a simple way without using jargon or complicated theory. I will understand you and see things from your perspective.

I work with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues and in particular I have experience of the following:

Anxiety

Depression

Low self-esteem

Relationship difficulties

Workplace issues

Stress

Anger

Domestic violence

Adult Survivors/Non-recent child abuse

Chronic pain conditions

Situational anxiety

I work with Adults 18+ and I offer short and long term counselling, both day and evening appointments.
